Command lineCollect Body+ weigh-ins over Bluetooth on Linux
openwithings makes a Linux computer act as the Bluetooth companion for a Body+ scale. It reads stored weight and body-composition measurements into a local JSONL file and can run as a background collector.
Setup needs a Withings account secret retrieved through the company's private API, plus Bluetooth pairing and BlueZ configuration. The documented command also contacts Withings during each session to restore the scale's user list; fully local user provisioning is still planned.
- Read weigh-ins without the Withings cloud
- Keep your own measurement archive
- Raw impedance values in the local record
- Optional upload back to the Withings cloud
