Self-hostedRecord the night sky and find meteors
openskycam records a compatible network camera's video to storage you control and uses detection workflows to find objects such as meteors and aircraft. A Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 can run the recording relay near the camera.
The complete system also requires storage, processing software and a Cloudflare account for its web interface and coordination services. The Pi is not documented as running the entire system alone, and model-detection figures are project-specific measurements rather than guaranteed accuracy.
