Home Assistant OS turns supported Raspberry Pi computers into dedicated smart-home controllers. It runs Home Assistant and its applications, allowing compatible sensors, lights and other devices to be managed from one local system.
Install a model-specific operating-system image on suitable storage and boot the Pi. Some integrations use external cloud services, but many can work locally, and additional USB radio hardware may be necessary.
