OpenHRV
AppSee live HRV and record paced-breathing sessions
OpenHRV reads beat-to-beat intervals from a Polar chest strap over Bluetooth and shows heart-rate variability with a breathing pacer. It saves local CSV recordings with intervals, HRV, pacing settings and your annotations.
The author tests on Ubuntu and provides a Linux executable. You can also install it with Python. Windows and macOS are unconfirmed, and one owner reports a sensor that connects on Windows 10 but not Windows 11.
- Keep readings off Polar’s cloud
- Analyze recordings in your own tools
- Keep your own recording files
- Adjustable breathing pacer
- Session annotations and CSV recording
