OBD2MQTT for ESP32
FirmwareSend Bluetooth car data to MQTT without a phone
This firmware lets an ESP32 near your parked car read a BLE OBD adapter and publish values through MQTT. Home Assistant, software for home automation, can discover the sensors automatically. Its browser editor lets you configure standard Mode 01 PIDs as well as maker-specific requests, headers and decoding formulas.
You need an ESP32, a compatible BLE adapter and an MQTT broker. The stock presets cover Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and XPeng EVs, and other cars need a custom profile. The project is beta and tested on Hyundai Ioniq 5; XPeng support remains unverified or experimental.
