NickelMenu
FirmwareAdd shortcuts and app launchers to Kobo's menus
NickelMenu adds your own entries to Kobo's home, reading, library and text-selection menus. They can launch apps or scripts, change hidden settings or open built-in screens, while Kobo's own reader stays in place.
You copy its installer over USB and list the entries you want in a text file. It needs firmware 4.6 or later in the 4.x series; 5.x is not supported, and some actions depend on the firmware.
- Change Kobo's menus and reading screen
- Run apps and games on the screen
- Text-selection actions
- Orientation and Wi-Fi shortcuts
- Scripts that show their output
