Self-hostedSave Nest event clips to your own storage
Copies available Nest event clips from Google Home to folders on your own server or NAS. It uses private Google Home and Nest video APIs and saves MP4 files by camera and date. It downloads existing clips rather than recording a live feed.
Run it with Docker or Python and authorize your own Google account using the token helper. Supported 2021–2022 models can supply free event clips, while legacy cameras require Google Home transfer and Google Home Premium for new clips. It cannot recover expired footage and still needs Google's cloud.
