Music Assistant for Google Cast
Plug-inPlay a shared music library on your Nest speakers
Music Assistant combines music sources in one library and streams them to Nest and Home speakers through Google Cast. Add local files or supported music services, then play to one device or a speaker group created in Google Home.
It needs an always-on Music Assistant server on the same network, with working discovery and reachable streaming ports. Service subscriptions still apply where required. Standard Cast groups are the reliable grouping route; syncing across different protocols is experimental. This does not replace the speakers’ Google setup or voice service.
- Play your music library across rooms
- Local music library playback
- Google Home speaker groups
- Multiple music sources in one library
