Import and sort GoPro footage from a terminal
MMT is a command line tool that copies videos and photos off a GoPro, from the SD card or over USB or Wi-Fi, into dated, named folders. It renames chaptered files such as GH011273.MP4 and GH021273.MP4 to GH1273-01.MP4 and GH1273-02.MP4, and can merge chapters, sort by camera or place name, and update camera firmware.
It needs no GoPro account, app or subscription. Network imports use the camera's address (10.5.5.9 over Wi-Fi, or the USB Ethernet address) and its README lists HERO6 to HERO13, HERO (2024), MAX and MAX 2.
You download a binary from the project's releases or build it with Go, and it calls FFmpeg, a free video tool, for merging and metadata. It is a terminal tool with no window.
Also works with Insta360 and DJI
