Set up a Midea window AC without a cloud account

Set up and control a Midea MWFF28H window air conditioner without the MSmartHome app or a Midea account. The project sets up Wi-Fi locally and derives the control key from your network credentials and the module’s MAC address. It then offers terminal commands for power, temperature, fan, mode and swing.

This is an early project tested on one MWFF28H whose module had never been bound to Midea’s cloud. Other units and previously app-paired modules are unverified. Provisioning needs Linux, NetworkManager and a Wi-Fi adapter; control uses Bun or Deno, and the network must provide 2.4 GHz WPA2-PSK.
