Plug-inMEATER temperatures in Home Assistant, no cloud
This Home Assistant integration (Home Assistant is a self-hosted home automation hub) reads a MEATER probe directly over Bluetooth. It makes tip temperature, ambient temperature, battery and a derived cook status entities, and needs no MEATER account or app.
It needs a Bluetooth adapter Home Assistant can use, or an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy (a small ESP32 board that relays Bluetooth). A direct probe connection cannot be shared with the MEATER app or Block. Connecting the integration to a compatible Block instead lets the Block relay a cooking probe. The README says a MEATER Pro or 2 Plus can stop advertising after a drop until it is power-cycled on its charger.
