Plug-inUse Tapo switches, lights and energy in Home Assistant
Tapo Controller brings supported plugs, lights and hub switches into Home Assistant, a home automation system you host. It reads device state and energy locally, with AES, KLAP and TPAP handled by its installed plugp100 library.
Install it through HACS, the community integration manager, and provide each device’s IP address and Tapo credentials. Its documentation warns that devices still need cloud access for credential synchronization, and segmented strips have only partial support.
