Use an Android phone as an OBD bridge for your home
HassBle polls a Bluetooth LE OBD adapter on an Android phone and sends decoded readings to Home Assistant, a home automation server. It sends changed sensor values through an authenticated WebSocket connection and does not require an MQTT broker.
Install the Android app and its separate Home Assistant WebSocket Bridge integration, then select a standard PID template or supply matching definitions. The phone must remain near the adapter, and maker-specific values need the correct commands and formulas.
