Gaggiuino for Home Assistant
Plug-inGaggiuino temperature, pressure and shots in Home Assistant
This is a Home Assistant integration, installed through HACS (a community add-on store), for a Gaggia Classic that already runs the Gaggiuino mod. It reads the machine's local web API on your network and shows temperature, target temperature, pressure, water level, weight, brew and steam state, the active profile and the latest shot ID. It can also switch profiles and change settings such as steam temperature, LEDs and scales.
You need a working Gaggiuino build, which involves mains wiring, soldering and an STM32/ESP32 controller; the Gaggiuino guide warns that it means working with potentially lethal mains voltage and says to start only with the machine unplugged. The integration polls every 30 seconds, and its README says that is too slow to monitor a shot as it runs. Gaggiuino supports the Classic, Classic Pro, Evo Pro and E24 but not the Classic V2 (RI9403), per its compatibility table.
This open-source integration does not make current Gaggiuino firmware open source; it is intended for machines that already have that separate modification.
