Handheld Daemon is a Linux service that replaces the maker's control app on Windows handhelds. It provides fan curves, TDP (power limit) controls, controller emulation with gyro and back buttons, SteamOS shortcuts and RGB, through a gamescope overlay opened by double-tapping the side menu button, plus a desktop app.
It needs Linux already installed. The README recommends the Anatase image for the full feature set and offers an install script for Ubuntu, Arch and Fedora that must be re-run after the system Python updates. Per the README, the Claw 1st gen needs an older BIOS and has Wi-Fi issues after sleep, and Claw 7/8 AI+ has no gyro.
