Bazzite
FirmwareA Linux OS for the Steam Deck
Bazzite is a Fedora-based Linux operating system with a bazzite-deck variant meant as an alternative to SteamOS on the Steam Deck. It boots into Game Mode and has options to install Decky Loader, EmuDeck, RetroDECK and ProtonUp-Qt.
You replace SteamOS by installing it from a USB drive, which wipes the system drive unless set up for dual boot. Check the Bazzite docs for your model before installing.
- Run a console-style OS instead of Windows
- Control power limits, fans and battery use
- Use your Xbox controller everywhere with every feature
- Desktop apps and Flatpaks with a regular package base
- Runs on many other handhelds
