Home Assistant’s Hikvision integration listens to the camera’s local event stream. It creates sensors for supported alarms such as motion, line crossing and intrusion, so those events can trigger your home automations.
Enable the camera’s event notification settings and give the local account permission to notify the surveillance center. Available alarm types depend on the camera and configuration. The confirmed DS-2CD2387G2-LU is listed here; similarly named panoramic variants are not assumed to work. This integration supplies events rather than a video-recording system.
