Connect supported devices to your own home automations
ESPHome builds replacement firmware from a configuration file and connects devices directly to Home Assistant, a home automation server, or MQTT. It can run relays, lights and sensors through supported hardware drivers; its Tuya MCU component communicates with a separate control chip inside some devices.
You need the exact board type, a suitable flashing method and a configuration matching its wiring. Support depends on the chip and board revision, even when product names match. Flashing replaces the maker’s firmware and app connection; LibreTiny support for Beken, Realtek and Lightning chips remains in development.
