Set a Gen 2 Wall Connector's current locally
This ESPHome component runs on an ESP32 connected to a Tesla Gen 2 Wall Connector's RS485 terminals. It exposes charger readings and an available-current control to Home Assistant, a home automation server, for local solar or scheduling rules.
It requires extra hardware and wiring inside the charger enclosure; a competent electrician should perform that installation with the unit isolated. It regulates current rather than providing a complete start/stop controller. Multi-charger discovery and communication-loss handling have reported limitations.
