Command lineScript monitor brightness and input changes
ddcutil controls external-monitor settings from a Linux terminal. Read or change brightness, switch an input and save supported settings in scripts, so a shortcut or automation can adjust the monitor.
The monitor must expose DDC/CI through the connected video cable and Linux driver. Enable DDC/CI in its menu and check which controls it reports; docks, display modes and multi-monitor synchronization can limit access. Start with brightness and keep the monitor buttons available to undo changes.
