Command lineExperimental AirPods battery tools for desktop scripts
Betty's bt command and optional Apple Audio driver read AirPods battery from Bluetooth advertisements, with 10% estimates clearly labelled. Linux also has an exact-battery path, and stored advertisement keys can give exact readings. Commands return JSON for scripts and local apps.
You build it from source with Go 1.24 or newer, plus Xcode's command-line tools on a Mac. It is experimental: every AirPods entry is unvalidated on real hardware.
Without the keys, a nearby advertisement can only be matched to a connected pair, not identified for certain. Windows and macOS can't use the control channel.
