MCP serverLet an AI assistant monitor, slice and print on your printer
bambu-printer-mcp is an MCP server, a connector that lets an AI assistant use a tool. It lets the assistant read printer status, AMS contents and HMS errors, take camera snapshots, upload and start sliced 3MF files, pause or skip objects, and set fans, light and AMS drying over the local network. It can also slice and edit STL files through a slicer on the same computer.
You need Node.js 24 and the printer's IP address, serial number and LAN access code; direct printing works on supported printers and firmware, and the docs describe the Developer Mode or LAN-only requirement. The README notes a verified LAN-only print on an H2S. X2D native printing needs a locally built helper on macOS or x86-64 Linux.
