FirmwareRun Fedora Asahi Remix on Apple silicon
The Asahi Linux installer is run from macOS with one command (curl https://alx.sh | sh). It shrinks the macOS partition and installs Fedora Asahi Remix or another Asahi distribution next to macOS on an Apple silicon Mac. Asahi Linux is a project that ports Linux to Apple silicon.
M1, M2 and M3 Macs work partly. On M1 and M2 the feature tables list Thunderbolt and DisplayPort over USB-C as in development and Touch ID as not supported. On M3 the GPU driver is still in development, so it uses the boot framebuffer. The M3 Ultra, M4 and M5 Macs are not supported. Back up first, since the installer resizes your macOS partition.
- Run Linux or Windows on your Mac
- Open OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan 1.4 graphics on M1 and M2
- Dual boot with macOS
