arTIfiCE
FirmwareRun assembly programs on a locked-down CE
arTIfiCE is a jailbreak for the TI-84 Plus CE and TI-83 Premium CE family. It restores the ability to launch assembly programs and games, which TI removed from the calculator's OS starting with 5.5. On OS 5.8.5, version 3 installs a removable Flash app called AsmHook2 through a bug in the Inequalz app; on OS 5.8.4 and earlier, version 2.1 installs as a TI-BASIC-launched program. It is not needed on OS 5.4 or earlier.
You need a computer with TI Connect CE or TILP to transfer the files, and on OS 5.8.5 the Inequalz app has to be installed first. Each OS version needs the matching arTIfiCE version, and TI has fixed the exploit used by each earlier version. The project's page says arTIfiCE sits in an appvar or program that the OS deletes or disables in Press-to-Test (exam) mode, so it has to be transferred and opened again after an exam.
