AriaCast
AppCast Android media to HomePod and other speakers
AriaCast captures media audio on an Android phone and sends it to a HomePod using local AirPlay. It can also send track information and artwork, control speaker volume, and start casting through NFC tags or deep links.
Install the published APK on Android 12 or later and keep the phone and speaker on the same network. Grant audio-capture permission and, if wanted, notification access for track information.
Apps that opt out of capture and protected audio can remain silent. HomePod support is marked partly because the published end-to-end tests use shairport-sync, an open-source AirPlay receiver, rather than a named HomePod test unit.
- Play your own music and audio on it
- Keep your audio and control on your own network
- Track metadata and artwork
- Quick Settings casting tile
- JavaScript extension support
- AirPlay, DLNA and Google Cast outputs
- NFC and deep-link casting controls
- JavaScript extensions
