AppPut Android music and notifications in iDrive
AAIdrive uses BMW and MINI Connected Apps to display Android music controls, notifications and calendar destinations in the factory iDrive interface. It talks through the phone's local connection to the car, with Bluetooth Apps on compatible later cars and USB on older ones. It does not require a replacement screen or a head-unit flash.
Your car needs NBT or NBT Evo with the appropriate BMW Apps or MINI Connected entitlement, and the My BMW or MINI phone app must enable that connection. Some cars have the factory Apps option; others need an active ConnectedDrive entitlement. Phone-app updates can break the local connection, and iDrive 7, 8 and 9 are outside the documented support.
