Turn on your Xbox and see what's playing in Home Assistant
The built-in Home Assistant integration, which is a self-hosted smart-home hub, adds a media player and a remote for each console on your Microsoft account. It shows the active app, sends controller commands and text, launches apps, and can turn the console on or off. It also adds sensors for storage, Gamerscore, friends' presence and the game being played.
It signs in to the Xbox network over OAuth2 through Home Assistant Cloud's account-linking service, or an Azure app you register yourself, and Remote features must be enabled on the console. A console in energy-saving mode can't be woken; it needs sleep mode. Status refreshes every 10 seconds, per the docs.
