VLC for Apple TV
AppPlay your own media from a computer or NAS
VLC plays your movies, shows and music from network shares and media servers. Its Remote Playback screen also lets a browser on another computer send files to the Apple TV over your local network.
Install VLC from the App Store on an Apple TV running tvOS 11 or later. You supply the media; files cached on the Apple TV can be removed by tvOS when storage is low, so keep the originals elsewhere.
