VLC for Android
AppPlay your own videos and music on Android
VLC for Android plays files stored on the headset or shared over your local network, with selectable audio tracks and external subtitles. On Quest 3 it runs in a flat Android app window inside Horizon OS.
Sideload the ARM64 APK from VideoLAN and allow access to the folders you choose. Quest 3 compatibility is supported by owner reports, and immersive stereoscopic or head-tracked video playback has not been verified for this setup.
On an Android phone, VLC also exposes its audio library through Android Auto. Prepare the library on the phone before connecting; video playback is not part of its Android Auto interface.
