DNS filters for Roku and Fire TV; Pioneer untested
TV DNS Blocklist adds domain rules to AdGuard Home, a DNS filter you run on your network. Its Roku and Fire TV sections target telemetry, advertising and viewing-recognition services, with exceptions intended to keep updates and playback available.
This entry covers Pioneer Roku and Fire TV models; Xumo and legacy KURO are unverified. You need an existing AdGuard Home server and a way to send the TV’s DNS requests through it. The author has checked these platforms at the DNS level, but has not tested them on real sets; Pioneer hardware remains untested. This can reduce some connections, not remove software or guarantee that all tracking stops.
Rules can affect other devices on the same resolver, and allow exceptions can override other filters. Start with the default list, test the TV’s usual features and disable the list if anything breaks.
