Command lineManage ThinkPad charging and Linux power use
TLP applies Linux power settings for battery and AC use, and can set charging thresholds on supported ThinkPads. It also reports battery information and provides controlled charging and recalibration tools.
Install the distribution package and check that the thinkpad_acpi driver exposes the battery controls. Review competing power managers before enabling TLP. Charge thresholds apply separately to each detected battery; recalibration deliberately runs a discharge and charge cycle.
