Self-hostedKeep your trips and charging history at home
TeslaMate keeps trips, charging sessions and battery estimates in your own database and displays them in Grafana, a dashboard app. This setup reads Tesla's official Fleet API by polling, with usage charges after Tesla's $10 monthly discount.
You need an always-on computer with Docker, a tool for running the server's components, and your own Tesla developer application. Turn its streaming option off; this setup does not receive Fleet Telemetry, and reducing polling to limit bills also reduces recording detail. Battery health is estimated from stored readings.
