SoundTouch Reborn
FirmwareRestore presets with software running on the speaker
SoundTouch Reborn installs a small agent on the speaker and serves the missing Bose services locally. It restores radio presets, provides a browser remote, and can play a local music library, group speakers and create SoundTouch 10 stereo pairs.
Install it from the desktop app over your home network, then the computer can be switched off. It modifies persistent speaker files while retaining the Bose firmware. Its optional Spotify-preset engine cannot play for accounts in Spotify's PlayPlay DRM cohort; the project documents native Bose Spotify Connect as the working path for those accounts.
- Keep your speakers working without Bose's cloud
- Use your preset buttons without a phone
- Play your radio and music library over Wi-Fi
- Use your speakers in home automations
- Phone browser remote
- Alarms and sleep timer
- Remote-button webhooks
- Optional on-speaker Spotify-preset client
