Use your Bitcoin node with a Ledger wallet
Specter Desktop connects your Ledger to your own Bitcoin Core node. It provides a browser interface for receiving, checking balances and signing Bitcoin transactions, including wallets that need signatures from more than one hardware device.
You need a synchronized Bitcoin Core node and a USB connection to a Nano X or Nano S Plus. Initial node synchronization can take much longer than the app setup; this listing covers Ledger signing, not Specter’s experimental software-wallet feature.
