Sony PMCA-RE
AppInstall custom apps on older Sony cameras
Sony PMCA-RE communicates with supported Sony cameras over USB and installs Android apps on bodies that have PlayMemories Camera Apps support. Those include the a6000, a6300, a6500, first- and second-generation a7 models, and RX100 III–V. It also exposes advanced camera settings through supported service modes.
This does not add PlayMemories support to newer cameras. Windows builds use the camera's USB connection; macOS drivers can need extra setup. The tool changes camera software and carries a risk of damage or lost settings. Check the exact model and firmware and use the documented installer with a backup plan.
