AppWatch YouTube with ad filtering and sponsor skipping
SmartTube plays YouTube through a TV remote interface using YouTube's unofficial interfaces. It filters video ads and uses SponsorBlock's community timings to skip sponsored segments, without a YouTube Premium subscription.
Install only through the project's official installation links; a Google account is optional for ordinary playback. Casting and voice search have device-specific setup, and the app does not turn off the TV's viewing-data collection.
The README still carries a notice that the developer's build environment was infected and signing keys may have been compromised. Follow its current replacement-key and account-access instructions before installing or updating.
