FirmwareRead battery details from a Smart 451 electric drive
ED BMSdiag reads battery-management and charger data directly from a third-generation Smart electric drive through its diagnostic socket. An Arduino Uno with an MCP2515 CAN shield sends the results to a computer over USB. It shows cell voltages, capacity readings, temperatures and a battery status report.
Support is limited to cars built from late 2012 to mid 2015, and the documented build uses Arduino IDE 1.8.5 with the supplied libraries. The bundled libraries have separate BSD and LGPL notices alongside the application’s MIT license.
