Scrypted Arlo
Plug-inArlo live video and events in Apple Home
Scrypted, a camera integration server, brings Arlo live video, snapshots and motion events into Apple Home and other connected apps. Its beta can take video and two-way audio directly from a compatible SmartHub; other stream modes relay video through Arlo's cloud.
Install the published beta and sign into Arlo for discovery, certificates and events. Local video needs the owner account and a camera and SmartHub that both support local streaming. It has reported startup and codec problems.
Live view needs no Arlo Secure plan, but Arlo cloud clips need an existing recording entitlement. Recording through Apple Home requires iCloud+ and an Apple home hub; Scrypted NVR has a separate subscription.
- Keep your recordings without Arlo Secure
- Keep video on your own network
- Use cameras in your smart home
- Arlo location mode switching
- Supported siren and light controls
- On-demand Arlo cloud clip browsing
- Live video for downstream recorders
