FirmwareReplace a 3DO disc drive with USB storage
SataTo3DO replaces the optical drive in an NTSC Panasonic FZ-1 with a DIY interface built around an RP2040 board. It reads your own disc images from a USB flash drive, giving the console another way to load software when its original drive is worn out.
This is a hardware project: assemble the documented interface board, check its connectors and level shifters, and flash the matching firmware. USB storage is the established route; SATA optical-drive support is preliminary. The project documents only the NTSC FZ-1, and an SSD can exceed the available power.
