Plug-inUse your PIXMA scanner with Linux apps
The SANE PIXMA backend connects compatible Canon multifunction scanners to Linux scanning apps over USB. Its device table lists complete MG2500-series support up to 600 dpi. Install your distribution’s SANE backend package and use a frontend such as Document Scanner or XSane. This adds scanning support; it does not replace printer firmware or provide a printing driver.
