Samsung TV privacy settings
RecipeTurn off viewing recognition and personalized ads
Use the TV's privacy controls to turn off Samsung's automatic content recognition and interest-based advertising. This recipe changes the TV's consent settings and does not install an app.
You need the Samsung remote and access to Privacy Choices or Terms & Privacy. These switches do not stop every diagnostic, app or account data flow or remove all ads, and features that require Viewing Information Services consent can become unavailable.
- Stop the TV tracking what I watch
Steps
- 1Open Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Terms & Privacy. On a 2025 or newer TV, open Privacy Choices on the Home screen instead.
- 2Turn off Viewing Information Services.
- 3Turn off Interest-Based Advertisements.
- 4Reopen the screen to check that both stayed off.
