Riposte OS
FirmwareReplace a GT6-EAU's Android system with a custom build
Riposte OS builds a replacement Android system for a Choiceway GT6-EAU from the owner's firmware backup. Version 0.2 uses an Android 14 system image, its own launcher and MCU service, while retaining the head unit's proprietary vendor hardware drivers.
It is experimental on one unit in a 2019 Toyota RAV4, with in-car reverse-camera, standby, wireless CarPlay and call-audio work recorded by the author. Headlamp behavior and wired CarPlay are not yet proven, and system OTA updates stay disabled pending a supervised bench test. Installation needs a Linux build computer, an unlocked compatible unit and a verified exact-device backup/recovery route.
The bundled launcher enables automatic cabin-audio capture by default and can upload clips and diagnostic logs to an owner-configured server. Disable capture and leave the uplink unenrolled for a local setup; the speech filter is not a guarantee that recorded speech is removed.
