Give your Roomba a local HTTP control interface
Run a local HTTP server that exposes Roomba cleaning commands and status to your own automations. rest980 connects to the robot through dorita980 and includes an experimental browser view of its cleaning path.
You need the robot’s local ID and password, plus a matching firmware setting. The experimental live path needs position data; owners of i7 and s9 robots reported losing it on firmware including 3.20.7. This is separate from cloud map features.
Room cleaning is documented for i7 and s9; an always-open connection can compete with the official app, so choose the connection mode that fits your setup. The /time endpoint has a reported server error; do not rely on it until fixed.
