Razer lighting effects and a tray applet on Linux
Polychromatic is a Linux app for managing lighting and device properties on Razer keyboards, mice and keypads. It does not talk to hardware itself: it sits on top of OpenRazer, so OpenRazer has to be installed first. It has a controller window, a tray applet, a command-line tool and a troubleshooter for OpenRazer problems.
It can set effects such as static, wave, reactive and ripple, plus brightness and per-device settings. Packages are listed on its website for several Linux distributions. Its README says other brands are a long-term ambition, not current.
How did it go? Tips, problems, questions…
