PineTime MCUBoot bootloader
FirmwareRecover a failed firmware update or switch it back
The PineTime MCUBoot bootloader starts the watch firmware and can restore a previous image or an InfiniTime recovery system. Recovery then accepts a replacement firmware over Bluetooth. The bootloader handles the watch's internal and external flash directly.
It is already installed on normal PineTimes and is not a routine upgrade. The 2024 flash revision needs version 1.0.1 or newer, and the 2026 display needs 1.0.2. Upstream advises leaving a working bootloader alone; replacing it lacks the usual recovery protection.
