Broadcast power and cadence without the tablet
Peloton BLE Bridge reads the original Bike's serial sensor cable with an ESP32 and broadcasts power and cadence as a Bluetooth cycling power meter. It can listen alongside the tablet or poll the bike itself when the tablet is disconnected.
Build it with an ESP32, an RS-232 level converter and the documented cable wiring, then flash it with PlatformIO. It does not need a Peloton account or membership, and resistance is available in its local-network debug data rather than its Bluetooth power-meter signal.
