AppRecord workouts and export GPX, TCX and Health Connect
Iron combines phone GPS with available Pebble heart-rate and step readings, received over Bluetooth. It keeps workout history on Android, exports GPX and TCX files, and can write permitted workout records to Health Connect, Android’s local health-data store.
You need the Android app, its matching watch app and a Pebble companion with PebbleKit2 support. The watch app targets every Pebble platform, but the author says it has not been fully tested on every model; watches without the relevant sensors provide fewer readings.
- Export steps, sleep and heart-rate history
- Use an Android companion with local storage
- Workout graphs and lap alerts
- Music controls while recording
- Android automation intents and assistant shortcut
