Run a firewall and VPN on your own network appliance

OPNsense turns a compatible Vault into a router and firewall with a local web interface. You can manage firewall rules, VPN connections, traffic reports and supported add-on services without a separate cloud controller.

Installation replaces the target operating system. Back up the existing setup, prepare a recovery path and confirm the appliance’s network ports before moving your internet connection over. Use suitable RAM and SSD storage; optional Wi-Fi modules are not covered by the wired appliance support.
