OpenStrap
AppKeep Helio history and recovery on your Android phone
OpenStrap reads the Helio Strap directly over Bluetooth and keeps its readings on your phone. It shows sleep, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, stress and workouts, calculates its own recovery and energy estimates, and can export CSV or write to Health Connect, Android's shared health-data store.
You need Android 9 or newer and a strap paired once through Zepp to obtain its authentication key. The author uses one strap on an Android 16 phone; other phones and firmware are untested, and the calculated scores are OpenStrap's own estimates.
- Keep readings in a local Android companion
- Review Zepp data on your own computer
- Use your readings in other apps
- On-strap alarm controls
- GPS workout recording on the phone
- CSV import
- Local recovery and energy estimates
