See who is home and control your NETGEAR router
This is the NETGEAR integration built into Home Assistant, the open-source home automation hub. It logs in to the router's local web service over your network, the same one NETGEAR's Genie app was reverse engineered from, so it needs no NETGEAR account or cloud.
It tracks which devices are connected for presence detection, with signal strength, link rate and link type, and reads traffic meter, speed test, CPU and memory data. It can reboot the router, install firmware updates and switch access control, parental control, QoS, guest Wi-Fi and Smart Connect. It works on routers and access points; only routers in router mode track devices.
Support varies by model and firmware: the docs say unsupported entities show as unavailable. Some Wi-Fi 6 and newer Orbi models fail at login, and the Wi-Fi 6E and 7 models have no reports either way.
